Wilderness First Aid

The HSI/ASHI Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is designed for individuals who work, travel, or recreate in remote environments where professional medical help may be delayed. This course equips participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills to recognize, assess, and treat injuries and illnesses when resources are limited and evacuation may take hours or even days.

Students learn to manage a wide range of medical emergencies—including fractures, wounds, hypothermia, heat illness, altitude sickness, and common wilderness hazards—using improvised techniques and limited supplies. Through scenario-driven, simulation-based training, participants gain the confidence to make sound medical and logistical decisions under pressure.

Duration: 16 hours (typically two days)
Certification: HSI/ASHI Wilderness First Aid, valid for 2 years

Bloodborne Pathogens

The HSI/ASHI Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) course provides essential training for anyone at risk of occupational exposure to blood or potentially infectious materials. Participants learn how bloodborne pathogens are transmitted, how to prevent exposure through proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and how to respond effectively if an exposure incident occurs.

This course meets OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 requirements and is ideal for healthcare providers, public safety professionals, and workplace safety officers. Training can be tailored to reflect your organization’s exposure control plan and policies, ensuring compliance and safety readiness.

Duration: 1–2 hours
Certification: HSI/ASHI Bloodborne Pathogens, valid for 1 year
